It is best that you book ultrasounds and CT scans in advance, as these require preparation beforehand, however we can usually offer you prompt appointments. For X-rays, on most days you can simply walk in.

Yes, we are a Bulk Billing practice, and do Bulk Bill all Medicare Eligible items.
If you are unsure, please ask our friendly reception staff.
In most cases it takes 2-3days for your doctor to receive the results, in urgent cases it can take as little as two hours.
We offer X-Ray, CT and Ultrasound services as well as a range of Pain Relief injections and Biopsies at all practices.
At our Bunbury Practice we also offer specialised Cone Beam CT services that are generally referred by Dental practitioners
Our upcoming Belmont practice will also be offering an MRI service
Some exams do require you to fast beforehand, but you will be advised by the receptionist assisting you in booking your appointment. If you are not required to fast, you can eat and/or drink.
Please continue to take prescribed medication and/or painkillers unless you are told otherwise. You will need to remain still during the scan, so anything that can make your experience more comfortable is generally permitted unless advised otherwise.
Not unless your doctor specifically requires film or disc. Usually the written report from the radiologist is sufficient.
We provide free online image access for all referrers.
If you are pregnant, we can email you a link to your pregnancy images once your referrer has received your results.
In most cases the exam will be between 15 and 40 minutes, however the receptionist assisting you will advise if it takes longer than this. It is dependent on the type of exam you are having and the area of the body that is being looked at.
After an injection or biopsy, you may be advised to rest for a period of time, but in most cases you will feel fine and be able to go about your day as normal.
In most cases, your exam will be performed by a highly trained radiographer or sonographer. A radiologist will be available for certain exams, including injections or biopsies.
Children must be accompanied by a guardian over the age of 18 who is willing to fill in paperwork and consent to them having the exam. The guardian may be asked to be in the examination room as well.
It depends on which exam you’re getting as to whether someone can accompany you in the room, but we do have a comfortable waiting area where family or friends can wait for you.
We do have strict schedules to adhere to and need to accommodate the many patients we see every day. With that in mind we ask that you arrive prior to your appointment time so that we may check and process your paperwork before the exam.
Our technicians and radiologists need to be able to compare current results with any existing records you may have in order to notice any discrepancies or changes between the two. Any changes will be reported back to your referring doctor.
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes. However, our technologist will provide you with a gown to change into if necessary.
Not generally, though, please be sure to notify our technologist of any prior surgeries before your exam.
